संसद् सचिवालयकी एक महिला कर्मचारीलाई बलात्कार प्रयास गरेको अभियोग लागेका प्रतिनिधि सभाका पूर्वसभामुख कृष्णबहादुर महराविरुद्धको मुद्दामा काठमाण्डू जिल्ला अदालतले पीडित महिलाको स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण गर्ने चिकित्सकहरूलाई बयानका लागि झिकाउन आदेश दिएको छ।

आइतवार भएको सुनुवाइपछि न्यायाधीश अम्बरराज पौडेलको इजलासले चिकित्सकहरूलाई झिकाउन आदेश दिएको अदालतका श्रेस्तेदार आनन्दप्रसाद श्रेष्ठले बीबीसी न्यूज नेपालीलाई बताए।

श्रेष्ठका अनुसार अदालतले प्रयोगशाला परीक्षणमा संलग्न चिकित्सकहरूलाई पनि झिकाउन आदेश दिएको छ।

त्यस्तै अदालतले घटना विवरणमा कागज गर्ने मानिसहरूलाई पनि बकपत्रका लागि झिकाउन आदेश दिएको श्रेस्तेदार श्रेष्ठले बताए।

अस्वीकार

महरामाथि जबरजस्ती करणीको उद्योगको अभियोग लगाइएको छ। उनले बलात्कार प्रयास गरेको आरोप अस्वीकार गर्दै आएका छन्।

यौन दुर्व्यवहारको आरोप लागेपछि गत असोज १४ गते महराले सभामुख पदबाट राजीनामा दिएका थिए।

त्यसको ठ्याक्कै एक महिनापछि महराविरुद्ध बिहीवार जिल्ला अदालत काठमाण्डूमा जबरजस्ती करणी उद्योग गरेको अभियोगमा मुद्दा दर्ता गरिएको थियो।

प्रधानमन्त्री केपी शर्मा ओली उपचार गराएर फर्केको डेढ सातापछि बिहीबार पुनः सिंगापुर गएका छन् । शरीरमा केही बढी मात्रामा देखिएको ‘मिर्गौलासम्बन्धी एन्टिबडी’ को उपचारका लागि उनी गएका हुन् ।सिनेमा हलहरू फुर्सदका बेलामा विश्रामपूर्ण मनोरञ्जन गर्ने थलो हुन् । राष्ट्रियता प्रवर्द्धन गर्ने, भक्तिगान वा कसैको वन्दना गाउने स्थल होइनन् । सरकारले भने संविधान दिवसका दिनदेखि फिल्म हलहरूमा चलचित्र सुरु हुनुअघि अनिवार्य रूपमा राष्ट्रिय गान बजाउनुपर्ने व्यवस्था गरेको छ । लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्रको यो युगमा पञ्चायती राजको झल्को दिने यस्तो व्यवस्था गर्नु अशोभनीय र अनुचित छ ।

प्रधानमन्त्री केपी शर्मा ओली बिहीबार उपचारका लागि सिंगापुर जानुअघि बसेको नेकपा सचिवालय बैठक ‘अप्रिय’ बन्यो । बैठकमा ठोस एजेन्डाबारे छलफल भएन । पार्टी अध्यक्ष ओली र वरिष्ठ नेता माधवकुमार नेपालबीचको चर्काचर्कीका कारण अरू विषयले प्रवेश नै पाउन सकेन ।त्रिभुवन विश्वविद्यालयका उपकुलपति तीर्थराज खनियाँले चारवर्षे पदावधि सकिएपछि शुक्रबार अवकाश पाउँदै  छन् । विश्वविद्यालय सुधारमा खासै केही गर्न नसकेका उनले एकपछि अर्को विवादास्पद काम गरिरहे । सतहमा आएका र चर्चामा रहेका उनका विवादित गतिविधि दर्जन हाराहारी प्रधानमन्त्री स्वदेश वा विदेश रहेका बेला अब भिडियो कन्फरेन्सबाट मन्त्रिपरिषद् बैठक बस्न सक्ने भएको छ । नेपाल सरकार (कार्यसम्पादन) नियमावली २०६४ लाई संशोधन गरी मन्त्रिपरिषद् बैठकले यस्तो व्यवस्था गरेको हो ।।

An alert has been issued in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu after a group of six Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists have entered Tamil Nadu through Sri Lanka, according to an intel report.

The alert, which has been issued in the city, says that the group consists of one Pakistan national and five Sri Lankan Tamils.

Based on this alert, Chennai has also increased it patrolling forces.

The Chennai Commissioner of Police has said that based on this alert, patrolling forces have been increased and necessary precautions have been put in place.

The DGP has instructed that in the entire state, storming operations should be conducted which include:

- Lodge checks - Vehicle check for explosives and arms - Intensification of patrols and checking - Checking of guards at sensitive/critical installations - Keeping a look out for miscreants - Preventive arrests of bad characters - Checking at railway stations, bus stands and airports - Checking of guards and TPF in temples

Earlier, intelligence reports had suggested that Pakistan was planning to deploy Afghan terrorists in Kashmir.

After the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, intelligence reports suggested that these terrorists are ready to infiltrate Kashmir from terror launchpads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Jeffrey Epstein signed a will two days before killing himself in his New York jail cell, US media reports say.

Court papers filed last week in the US Virgin Islands valued Epstein's estate at more than $577 million (£475m) but listed no details of beneficiaries, the Associated Press reported.

The will, details of which were first reported by the New York Post, directs Epstein's assets to be put into trust.

Epstein died while awaiting trial on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges.

The New York medical examiner found that the 66-year-old, whose body was discovered on 10 August, died of "suicide by hanging".

Epstein pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and was being held without bail. He faced up to 45 years in prison if convicted.

The former financier put all of his holdings into a trust called The 1953 Trust, according to a copy of the will published by the New York Post. He signed the document on 8 August.

No details of any beneficiaries are included in the document, which lists assets including more than $56m in cash, more than $14m in fixed income investments and more than $18m in "aviation assets, automobiles and boats".

Epstein's collection of fine arts, antiques and other valuables is yet to be appraised, the document says.

Some of Epstein's alleged victims have said they will go after his assets for damages following his death.

Reports about Epstein's will came as US Attorney General William Barr announced a major leadership shake-up at the federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). The acting chief, Hugh Hurwitz, was removed and former BOP director Kathleen Hawk Sawyer named as his replacement.

"Under Dr. Hawk Sawyer's previous tenure at the Bureau, she led the agency with excellence, innovation, and efficiency, receiving numerous awards for her outstanding leadership," Mr Barr said in a statement.

He also named former agency official Thomas Kane as her deputy.

New York-born Epstein worked as a teacher before moving into finance. Prior to the criminal cases against him, he was best known for his wealth and high-profile connections.
